Over the years our team has grown to be more than just bank core contract negotiators. We believe community banking is all about people and relationships. If you treat people right you will win favor personally and in business. Our team is built around the concept of service. Each team member has a servant's heart and our job is to serve our customers first and honor the vendors and companies we deal with in the process. We believe in building long-term relationships and delivering a service that exceeds expectations with all those we come into contact with.

After selling core technology to community bankers for the better part of a decade, David decided to move to the other side of the negotiating table. David founded Genesys in 2007 to be an advocate for community banks and provide unparalleled technology consulting services at affordable rates. David's passion is staying on top of the ever-changing market conditions that exist in banking technology today. However, his mission is to make sure that every Genesys customer is a raving fan.

Shawn McEver keeps the Genesys running. She has been in community banking for 30 years and knows every facet of bank technology pricing and contracts. Shawn uses her expertise in vendor invoicing and contracts to provide the Genesys team with invaluable analytical support.

With more than 14 years in banking and more than 27 years in the banking technology sector, Joy Pelaez has literally seen it all and established herself as Genesys’ true “Renaissance Woman.” Her attention to detail through each project and her fundamental understanding of all the vendors operating agreements ensures our clients receive smart, solid contracts every time.

Selina has been in bank technology for over 25 years and keeps our Card Services engagements running at full steam. She started her career at InterCept (now FIS) in the EFT division and moved over to Genesys in 2014. She lives in Buford, GA with her husband Lee and three children.

Robert's career in the industry spans more than 30 years and comprises a truly eclectic background. His experience includes core technology conversions; technology consulting; stints as CIO, CRO, and Compliance Officer; and numerous other roles within financial institutions and fintech organizations. Robert combines his knowledge of banking and IT to deliver tremendous value to our clients.

David has spent the over the last 36 years in community banking and truly has perspective from every angle. David’s tenure in banking includes positions as a community banker, bank examiner, core software conversion manager and core account manager. Most recently, he helped a banking business analytics company get off the ground. As EVP of Support Services, there is no one better suited to help our clients manage time intensive projects like conversions , migrations and process improvement.

Joanna Johnson joined the Genesys team in 2017 after 15 years in banking and financial technology. Joanna is a certified PMP. Her wealth of knowledge, attention to detail, and industry experience make her the perfect Core Services Project Manager. Joanna is committed to advocating for community banks while strengthening their relationships with key technology providers. Joanna lives just outside of Raleigh, NC, with her husband Josh and their two daughters.

Lenn manages our Core Services team and is passionate about leading our clients through vendor evaluations, core system conversions, merger/acquisitions, and process improvement. An industry veteran with over twenty-five years’ experience working for banks and banking software companies, Lenn’s experience makes her a perfect fit for the Genesys team. She is a champion for our clients and drives tangible results.

Jennifer is dedicated to community banking. Since 2005 she has held positions ranging from Teller to Operations Manager. In 2017, she moved to managing conversions for a top core vendor. Her knowledge of bank technology and all its moving parts make her the perfect fit as Vice President of Support Services for Genesys. Although she loves her work, Jennifer’s real passion is her family. Her husband Chad and their girls enjoy finding new adventures and spending time in the outdoors.

Drew comes to Genesys from the insurance industry and has a passion for building relationships and helping her customers make the wisest decisions, even if it's not in her favor. Her energy is contagious and she is dedicated to building long-term relationships with banks and credit unions.

Will is a master at creating raving fans out of Genesys' Support Services clients. He brings a wealth of conversion and project management experience from one of the top core vendors in the U.S. and is dedicated to making sure Genesys banks have the best conversion experience possible. He is a true advocate for the bank/vendor relationship.

Tommy joined Genesys in 2020 and even though he is not from banking he has made the transition to our Support Services team like a true professional. Tommy is a master of keeping up with all the details. As Support Services Project Coordinator he has his finger on the pulse of every project the Support Services team manages. Tommy is the backbone of the Support Services team and monitors the health of every project, all day, every day. Tommy lives in Knoxville, TN.

Michael is a bank CFO at heart but has been in bank technology consulting for over 10 years. Michael's knowledge of banking and technology makes him the perfect advocate for Genesys clients. He is truly passionate about bringing value and wisdom to each engagement and we are so blessed to have him as part of the team.

Kim joined Genesys in 2021 and has taken our Invoice Audit Services to new levels. Kim's career in banking started with Fiserv in 2016 where she was a billing specialist. She understands contracts and bank technology pricing and helps our clients monitor and understand every invoice that crosses their desks. Kim lives in Cumming, GA with her two children.

Chip is the newest member of the Support Services team and is in the trenches every day managing conversions, migrations, new product installations, and mergers. He started his career in banking with NCR in 1990. Chip has extensive experience in implementations, conversions, and item processing product support. Chip lives in Birmingham, AL with his bride, Robin.

As the Core Services Project Coordinator, Laura is a “Jack of All Trades”. Employing years of project management and project coordination skills, she is able to help keep your banks’ project moving forward in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Laura’s single focus is to ensure that Genesys exceeds its’ clients expectations. Laura lives in Atlanta with her husband and enjoys visits from her two grown children as well as just about any outdoor activity.

She may be one of the newest additions to the Genesys Team, but Marisa is no rookie to banking. Marisa joins our team from 26 years of banking experience with a $700M Georgia-based community bank. She brings a wealth of real-life experience in relation to Fintech partnerships, payments, and bank operations. Marisa may be new to consulting but her expertise will serve Genesys clients well. Marisa is an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and lives around Athens, GA.

Lindsay started her banking career in 1999 as a teller and has seen just about every department within a community bank since. She has spent the last 5 1/2 years working in IT, Human Resources, and Deposit Operations for a community bank in the great state of Alabama. Lindsay is the perfect fit for Genesys, she is a true advocate for our clients both personally and professionally. Lindsay and her husband of 17 years (Heath) currently reside in the Birmingham area.

He's not just a man's best friend, he is laser-focused on innovation. He understands where bank technology is going and emotionally supports the Genesys Team in exceeding our client's expectations.
